MISSION
In 2020, the UEFA EURO was due to celebrate its 60th anniversary. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was postponed to 2021. With the aim to still celebrate its 60th anniversary, the tournament will still be played across 12 different European cities - bringing the EURO closer to the fans and celebrating the best of European football and culture. To make this all possible, we need fantastic, dedicated people in every area.
The Venue Management Coordinator supports the EURO 2020 Venue Manager in the final preparation of the venue. This will include the implementation of the projects, processes and assistance in coordination of the venue team, authorities and local partners. He / She will represent the Venue Manager in case of absence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The role of the Venue Management Coordinator is to provide a high level of support to the Venue Manager. The responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Venue Manager to implement venue management projects and processes
- Assisting the Venue Manager with regards to planning and chairing the Venue Management meetings (such as working visits and other dedicated visits) and producing necessary minutes/reports of the meetings
- Acting as a key information resource for all stakeholders with regards to questions and information requirements across the venue
- Assisting in the implementation of set-up and dismantling plans, updating checklists and support the updating of the VISTA Suits tools
- Supporting the Venue Manager in the venue specific reporting (action points, checklist questions, Match Day reporting) to the Tournament Operations/Venue Coordination Centre at UEFA HQ, Nyon
- Implementing specific venue projects, if necessary, i.e. potentially serve as a trouble-shooter
The above list is not exhaustive and, depending on specific requirements, may include additional responsibilities. The Venue Management Coordinator must therefore be flexible with regards to her/his duties and be prepared to take the lead on some items, as delegated by the Venue Manager.
PROFILE OF SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
Experience required:
- Proven experience in an administrative role in an international and multicultural environment
- Experience in event operations for major sports or international events
- Degree or equivalent in business administration or sports management
- Microsoft Office proficient
