Fixed term contract starting 3rd May 2021 until 12th July 2021

The tournament:

In 2020, the UEFA EURO was due to celebrate its 60th anniversary. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it was postponed to 2021. With the aim to still celebrate its 60th anniversary, the tournament will still be played across 12 different European cities - bringing the EURO closer to the fans and celebrating the best of European football and culture. To make this all possible, we need fantastic, dedicated people in every area.

The organisation:

UEFA EURO 2020 is being managed in each participating country by the respective national federation on behalf of UEFA. As the Host Association and national federation for England, The FA is responsible for the overall delivery and coordination of the Local Organising Structure (LOS), working in partnership with the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).

The function:

The Accreditation team ensures and facilitates that only specified event staff have accreditation to assigned areas within the UEFA EURO 2020 venues.

The team ensures the safety and security of the event by collecting, verifying and managing personal data of event staff and service providers which leads to enabling crowd control and minimising the risk of damage to individuals and the facilities.

The Accreditation team identifies all the working groups, individuals and their organisations with a credible working function and offer an appropriate accreditation service.

The Venue Accreditation Coordinator supports the smooth implementation of accreditation operations at the Wembley Stadium based on the instructions given by the Accreditation Manager and will also support the accreditation centre's operations and issue accreditation devices in a securely and quickly.

Key responsibilities include:

  • A key member of the accreditation team providing daily support to the Accreditation Manager and venue team
  • Collaboration with IT
  • Assist in the accreditation operations daily reporting
  • Prepare and participate in volunteer training
  • Monitor the activity of volunteers and report any issues to the volunteer manager
  • Support the setup and dismantling of the accreditation centre and its daily operations
  • Run the accreditation centre in absence of the Accreditation Manager
  • Stock management
  • Prepare documentation and write minutes
  • Assist in the debrief of accreditation operations

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience with accreditation systems and databases
  • Ability to quickly familiarise with a new software
  • Work well under pressure and remain calm in stressful situations
  • Multitasking and organisational skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Customer Service skills
  • Microsoft Office proficient
  • Analytical thinking
  • Excellent attention to detail
