The Position
These are your key tasks:
- Ticketing Finance is looking for a dynamic and organised person on a 100% fixed-term contract as a senior accountant.
- Ticketing Finance is supporting the Ticketing division in all Finance-related matters and ensures the integrity of ticketing accounting, enables the correct handling of ticket sales and all related services, and prepares accurate and timely financial statements and documents, in line with local GAAP and IFRS.
- Responsible for month end close activities; responsible for performing balance sheet, ticketing revenue, expense account reconciliations, as well as executing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- Assists with external audit, budgets and special projects as needed.

The specific competencies we require for this position are:
- To monitor high volume Ticketing Sales and enable accurate revenue reflection in the accounting and ticketing finance system.
- To monitor control processes and reconcile Ticketing Sales.
- To maintain the interface between the Ticketing Sales system and the Accounting system and its individual tournament configurations.
- To coordinate month-end and year-end closing tasks and its associated reporting of the FIFA Ticketing subsidiaries.
- To review general ledger accounts and make necessary journal entries including posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals.
- To ensure that Ticketing Finance acts as a business partner to the Ticketing team and provide support for Finance-related matters.
- To manage customer enquiries and process ticketing refunds to customers.
- To analyse market and legal conditions in countries hosting a FIFA tournament in the project-planning phase.
- To deal with potential international GST/VAT tax returns.
- To follow industry trends and anticipate changes which affects FIFA Finance.
