The Football Association [The FA] is the not-for-profit governing body of football in England. It is responsible for promoting and developing every level of the game, from grassroots through to the professional game, and generates significant revenue to support investment into English football each year.
The FA oversees England international teams across men's, women's, youth and disability football, as well as running the National League System and FA Competitions including the Emirates FA Cup, Barclays FA Women's Super League, FA Women's Championship, and Vitality Women's FA Cup, and the world-class facilities of Wembley Stadium and St. George's Park, all with a purpose to Unite the Game and Inspire the Nation.
The Role
To provide support with the administration of our grassroots football consultation which will support the writing of our 2024-2028 Grassroots Strategy.
To provide support with the administration of our Football Delivery Fund. This is a fund to support County FAs, Education Partners and other delivery partners to drive performance against key areas of the 2020-2024 Grassroots Strategy.
Support the Strategy & Performance team with ongoing projects and ad-hoc tasks.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the project plan of a mass in-person consultation event through Summer 2023 including communications, bookings and event planning.
- Co-ordinate requirements of the consultation project with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Grant management by sifting and sorting applications, conducting initial basic checks against criteria, preparing documents for FA (Football Association) internal review panels and collating scores.
- Administration in compiling and updating internal records, managing spreadsheets to keep scoring up to date and tracking progress of applications.
- Preparing communications for internal and external partners to update on progress at key points, responding to County FAs on basic information requests and communicating progress internally towards project Key Performance Indicators.
- Wider support administrative support where necessary in the start-to-finish process of applications for grant through to performance monitoring.
- Executes additional tasks as required to meet FA Group changing priorities.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.

Knowledge
- Able to understand a project plan and play a role in delivering it
- Able to process and evaluate application forms against set criteria
- Able to work with others to set up review panels
- Able to prepare document packs
Experience
- Experience of working in an office environment
- Experience of collating and summarising lots of information
Technical Skills
- Experience of Excel
- Verbal and written knowledge of English language
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills

- Knowledge of the role and purpose of The FA and the County FA network
- Understanding of impact of football across wider society
Experience

Please be aware that unless you are on a homebased contract, your contract with The FA will specify a fixed location of either Wembley Stadium, St. George's Park or our Processing Centre.
We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team. The remaining days can be worked remotely. We will continue to monitor this model and it may be adjusted in future if deemed necessary.
