An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Social Media team. We are seeking someone passionate about horse racing who also possesses a good understanding of wider sports, alongside proficiency in Premiere Pro and Photoshop. This role will involve joining us to enhance our organic social channels by capturing and amplifying sporting sentiment to drive engagement

Our team works in London HQ once per week and works on a shift basis to cover the annual sporting calendar. You must be available to work weekends (four days out of eight), with weekdays free.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Collaborate with editorial production teams to promote key content and breaking news on our social channels promptly.
  • Ensure effective delivery of commercial messages through social content.
  • Ensure all content complies with responsible gambling best practices.
  • Create content, graphics, and videos across various social media platforms including X, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Foster online horse racing conversations by promoting and reacting to key sporting moments such as the Grand National and Cheltenham Gold Cup.
  • Monitor platform-specific KPIs and collaborate with analysts to optimise content through self-serve dashboards.
  • Support other teams within Spotlight Sports Group with audiovisual content, including ideation, production, and editing.
  • Tailor content to resonate with our targeted audience and maintain brand consistency across platforms.
  • Monitor and document competitor activity, including bookmakers, publishers, and affiliates.
  • Work on live events, including clipping live shows on Grabyo such as The Morning Post, and optimise them for our social media channels.
  • Cover live sports events on social media, including horse racing and football, and identify engagement opportunities throughout.
  • Manage social media for our UK brands, including Racing Post, MyRacingTips, and FootySuperTips, ensuring each brand's tone of voice is maintained.
  • Contribute to the growth of our TikTok account with fresh and innovative ideas.


  • You possess excellent sports knowledge, especially in horse racing, and understanding of sports betting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe suite, including Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
  • Proven ability to plan, shoot, publish, and promote high-quality video content.
  • Recent operational expertise in audience engagement across at least two social media channels.
  • Availability for shift work that aligns with the sporting and racing calendar, including weekend shifts.
  • Strong copywriting skills, comfortable crafting engaging and concise content for social media.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively and communicate performance issues and deadlines clearly.
  • Initiative and willingness to develop your role by taking on constructive feedback and non-routine projects.
