SKATING COACH

(Annual performance based remuneration package ranges from HK$497,285 to HK$1,253,926)

THE JOB

Reporting to the Head Skating Coach, the Skating Coach will be responsible for the following duties:

To coordinate, implement and oversee different training programmes of elite short track speed skating athletes in Hong Kong;
To monitor the route training of the elite figure skating athletes;
To fully utilize and integrate scientific, medical and other athlete support services into the elite training programme to enhance elite training outcomes;
To monitor athlete performance through comprehensive, multi-method assessment and regular evaluation;
To provide timely and critically analyzed progress reports to the HKSI and Hong Kong Skating Union;
To be responsible for administrative matters related to local and overseas squad training and competitions;
To supervise Assistant Coaches and part-time coaches;
To assist the HKSI and Hong Kong Skating Union with coach education programmes; and
To perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor.

THE REQUIREMENTS

A University degree or its equivalent;
Holder of a recognized coaching qualification equivalent to Hong Kong Coach Accreditation Programme Level 3 Certificate;
A minimum of 5 years’ professional coaching experience and proven record of achievement in coaching Short Track Speed Skating athletes at national level or its equivalent;
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and English writing skills;
High level of computer literacy; and
Awareness/ knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.

主要職責

負責籌劃、執行和管理香港短道速滑精英運動員不同的訓練計劃；

負責督導香港花樣滑冰精英運動員日常訓練；
在進行精英訓練計劃時，善用所有運動科學、醫療及其他為運動員而設的支援服務，以加強訓練成果；
透過全面性、多方位和定期評估，以監察運動員的表現；
提交適時及具分析性的進度報告予體育學院及香港滑冰聯盟；
負責運動員於本地及海外訓練及比賽的行政工作；
督導助理教練及兼職教練的工作；
協助體育學院及香港滑冰聯盟的教練培訓工作；及
履行由上司所指派的其他工作任務。

職位要求

大學學位或同等學歷；
持有等同香港教練級別評定計劃第三級教練証書的資歷；
具備最少五年專業教練經驗，及曾帶領短道速滑運動員在國家級或同等水平賽事中獲得優異成績；
具備良好溝通能力、人際關係及英語書寫能力；
熟悉電腦操作；及
認識香港保護兒童及平等機會政策為佳。
