About us
The IOC is one of the most valuable sports brands in the world. We ensure the regular celebration of the Olympic Games and promote positive social change around the world. We are driven by our vision of unifying and inspiring a better world through sport. Equality, inclusion and diversity are embedded in our DNA because we know that we are strongest when we are together.

We believe in excellence and enabling everyone to do the best they can, encouraging adaptability and comfort with change. Our people show respect for themselves, each other, and the environment. And we celebrate friendship as a key value of the Olympic Games, where sport helps us to build mutual understanding and connection both with each other and with our stakeholders.

The IOC Games Delivery Office (GDO) oversees the delivery of each edition of the Olympic Games and Youth Olympic Games. We focus on helping realise the opportunities presented by each Games, and on identifying and clearing any hurdles along the way.

About the role
We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our thriving team. You will play a key role in ensuring the preparations for each Games are on time and deliver against all objectives and requirements needed for an incredible stakeholder experience. You will also help to embed effective program planning and oversight to support the delivery of key strategic initiatives to transform and enhance Games delivery.

About you
You are a program management professional with 10+ years’ experience of agile delivery management across complex portfolios, both digital and non-digital. You are passionate about finding the best way to deliver portfolios and programs of work, leveraging your experience of program management processes and tools (for example, Trello, Asana, Smartsheet, Power BI) to ensure consistency, transparency and effective oversight.

An effective problem solver with an analytical mind, you are able to identify and address common issues to mitigate risks as they arise, and continually improve overall confidence in delivery.

Your strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluent English both written and verbal (and knowledge of French an asset), allow you to build relationships and effectively communicate with a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure involvement and engagement with delivery.

You will work within the GDO to:

• Develop and oversee the framework and tools needed to support complex programmes and projects for each Games edition and other areas of the GDO.
• Train, coach and support the GDO to develop capability and ensure consistency in the adoption of programme/project management processes, procedures, tools and systems.
• Work with the Heads of Games Delivery for both the Olympic Games (current editions are Paris 2024, Milano Cortina 2026, LA28 and Brisbane 2032) and Youth Olympic Games (Gangwon 2024 and Dakar 2026) to enable effective oversight of progress and management of risks and issues to delivery.

What you’ll get
• 2 year full time role based in in Lausanne, Switzerland (Lausanne was ranked best small city in the world by Monocle in 2019 due to its global outlook, diverse population and fabulous location)
• Based in our offices at Olympic House on the shores of Lake Leman, including gym, restaurant, sports club and mobility options package (e.g. bike to work, public transport pass, etc)
• Flexible work arrangements, meaning working from the office 3 days/week
• Opportunity to support Games-time planning and/or operations for Paris 2024 and Gangwon 2024, either from Lausanne operations hub or on-site

Come and join an organisation where the spirit of inclusion, gender equality and diversity is embedded in its DNA and which focuses on what unites us – a passion for sport and its values. Work in a flexible and rewarding environment which offers competitive employee benefits and numerous incentives to live a sustainable, healthy and active life. By joining us, you become part of the Olympic Movement and help to build a better world through sport. You will have the opportunity to work with people of more than 70 nationalities.
