To strengthen our team we are looking for the next possible date for a

Senior Manager (f/m/d) Broadcast Technology

In the implementing company of the Rhine Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games

Full-time / 40 hours per week / fixed-term contract until autumn 2025.

In our multifunctional team, you will be responsible for the conception and implementation of all technologies that ensure the smooth running of all live productions. If you have a passion for technology and want to see how you can make the consumption of sport better, then we want you. Become a changemaker in our energetic and diverse team. You will be working in mission-critical areas and take over a key role in the RR 2025 digital transformation programs to empower us on our way towards a digital-first event. You will report directly to the CTO.

We would entrust you with the fulfilment of these tasks:

• Technical & organizational management of the team

• Budget and personnel responsibility in the subject area

• In coordination with the direct supervisor, responsibility for the subject area with the following focal points:

o Responsibility for the holistic technological infrastructure and operations along the entire production chain.

o Responsibility for the design and implementation of all technologies and services for all process steps in live production (UHD HDR live production), signal attribution (fiber/SDI/IP), content production (content hub, graphics systems, MAM); cross-platform distribution (sat/fiber/streaming).

o Identification of infrastructural requirements and dependencies resulting from transformation dependencies along the entire production chain, in close exchange with the PO Media IT (production model remote/cloud, networking of production sites) & successful implementation.

o Responsibility for the development and implementation of demand-driven solutions in cooperation with the partner network

o Ensure all aspects of IT and broadcast telecommunications services are implemented as needed & ensure event technology is provided and supported to a wide variety of stakeholders, as well as on-site coordination

• Central contact person within the organization for the subject area

• Coordination of activities required for the execution of the event and a targeted preparation of information for a wide variety of stakeholders

It would be great if you have these skills & knowledge:

o University degree (Master level) in field such as economics, management, technology, IT/computer science or comparable degree

o Several years of relevant professional experience at various production levels of the media value chain of a major sports event

o Knowledge and high technical expertise in the field of broadcasting technology as well as good IT understanding

o Analytical, structured and independent way of working as well as a high degree of personal commitment and responsibility in the implementation of projects

o Team spirit and high willingness to take responsibility

o Integrative and judgmental personality who knows how to successfully mediate between different interests even in complex situations

o Communication skills (also in English)

o Sensitivity to the needs of the participants

o High degree of flexibility and obliging appearance

o Systematic and solution-oriented approach

o Persuasiveness, assertiveness & organizational skills
