YOUR NEW JOB...

We're looking for an outstanding Sales professional to join our Cheshire based, SPORTFIVE UK Sales team. Specialising in the betting and gaming sector, you will play an integral role in working closely with the VP & the Sales Director to implement a robust commercial strategy that maximises revenue generation and commercial profitability of the category.

In this domestic and international role, you will be involved in commercial development across Football, Esports, MMA, and other major sports, and liaise with major stakeholders including leading European football clubs to drive revenue through partnership, perimeter and virtual advertising, talent and ambassador deals, and any other commercial opportunities within the industry.

AS OUR SALES MANAGER – BETTING & GAMING, YOU WILL...

  • Identify, pitch and close partnership opportunities with new and existing operator clients for the SPORTFIVE portfolio and/or non SPORTFIVE portfolio properties in various sports.

  • Maintain and develop strong ongoing relationships across existing operator client network, to ensure SPORTFIVE is continually perceived as the most trusted and most knowledgeable sports marketing agency across the Betting and Gaming industry worldwide.

  • Regularly liaise with international Rights Holders to secure relevant commercial details such as category availability and pricing, rights packages, formal proposals etc. Securing exclusive mandates and establishing formal representation agreements where possible to facilitate expansion.

  • Keep an acute and up-to-date understanding of the industry and relevant market intelligence, including regulatory environments and changes for different regions; market dynamics in respect of pricing and competition; operator business models; key technologies; new market entrants; key trade shows and conferences; and utilise this information to identify important trends which can inform our strategic and operational approach.

  • Maintain close cooperation with our international territories (especially USA/LATAM/ASIA) and subsidiary agencies to understand, develop and grow rights portfolio, availability, pricing, and other relevant data to support commercial process.

  • Display a thorough understanding of SPORTFIVE products and services, both inside and outside the Betting and Gaming category.

  • Prepare sales propositions, business cases, plan sales approach and lead sales pitches with both international and domestic clients where necessary.

  • Brief our internal Sales Insight and Servicing team to prepare presentations as required using consumer insights, media value reporting, and additional proprietary methodologies to help build compelling business cases to operators and rights holders.

  • Provide weekly and regular updates at required sales meetings showcasing activity and pipeline client and rights holder development, business closed and share any insight for potential collaboration with other Sales Team members.

  • Following successful completion of a sales process, work with internal corporate functions such as legal and finance to create robust commercial agreements

  • Represent SPORTFIVE to the broader market in a way that is consistent with the high standards and professional approach expected of employees.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING...

  • Relevant commercial experience in a fast-paced, sales environment

  • Experience working within the Betting & Gaming sector is preferred but not essential.

  • Track record in being able to close partnership sales opportunities and broker agreements.

  • Experience in maintaining and developing key relationships with major sports Rights Holders.

  • Analytical/strategic ability to identify multiple value chains across the industry and use this to inform and plan commercial approach.

  • Strong professional network within the Sports Marketing industry or the Betting and Gaming industry.

  • Excellent inter-personal skills, advanced communication and presenting capabilities

  • Effectively managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Tenacious, Motivated, self-sufficient, and able to self-manage.

  • Highly independent, performance-driven, and comfortable with working in a dynamic global environment to tight deadlines within a tightknit experienced team

  • Comfortable with international travel.

  • Deep knowledge and interest in Football and its commercial aspects.
