Glasgow Life is looking for a Safety Security & Medical Team Manager to join us on a full time, fixed term contract for a period up to Sep 2023. As Safety Security & Medical team manager you will be part of a dedicated team which supports the delivery of the UCI 2023 World Cycling Championships.

The Role:
As Safety Security & Medical Team Manager, you’ll be an integral part of the team by taking the lead on all aspects of Safety, Security & Medical arrangements associated with the delivery of the Glasgow activities as part of the UCI Cycling World Championships including licensing of the Venues where applicable. The role will oversee these critical workstreams across the 5 competition and non-competition Venues within Glasgow. Reporting to our Venues Lead Glasgow and working alongside a new team.
Essential for this role is a knowledge, understanding and experience within the delivery of the SSM workstream within a major multi-sport event environment and how this amalgamates into the overall event delivery structure. Declaration of Interest applies.
The Candidate:
If you’re interested in joining us as the Safety Security & Medical Team Manager you’ll need:
• Degree level qualification in relevant subject or equivalent experience.
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent essential/desirable
• Experience of working in a major / multi-sport or multi-event environment.
• Knowledge of current health and safety legislation and experience of its practical application in both in a large multi-disciplinary organisation and at major events (including sporting events).
