Full description

Founded on 14th April 1900 in Paris, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is the world governing body for cycling. Its mission is to develop and supervise cycling in all its forms and for everybody, as a competitive sport, as a healthy recreational activity and as a means of transport and having fun. Additionally, the UCI promotes a number of its own
events, including the UCI Road World Championships, an iconic annual event, and a wide range of other UCI World Championships and World Cups across the various disciplines. It is based in Aigle, Switzerland, at the UCI World Cycling Centre.

Mission:
The main mission of the Road Coordinator – Organisers and Calendar – is to coordinate part of the administrative management of the Road Unit within the UCI Sports Department, more particularly that which is related to the organisers and the Road Cycling calendar for the American, African and Asian sectors. He/she will also be an important
point of contact for Women's Road Cycling.

Finally, he/she reports directly to the Route Manager - Organisers and Calendar - and assists him in the exercise of his duties. He/she also assists the Head of Road and Innovation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Follow the administrative registration procedure for the UCI International Men's and Women's calendar for the American, African and Asian continents:
- receive the files of the national federations and organizers and ensure their administrative management
- study the technical and administrative evaluations of the events and recommend appropriate actions
- ensure the administrative follow-up of the events throughout the year
  • Ensure the link with the Organizers and the National Federations:
- Processing and follow-up of emails, requests and phone calls, technical and administrative assistance
  • To be one of the contact persons for questions related to Women's Road Cycling
  • Ensure the control of results and rankings
  • Contribute to the work related to the technical supervision of the events
  • Organize certain seminars, commissions, working groups or meetings of the Road Unit.
Profile:
  • Higher education with proven professional experience in the world of sport
  • Excellent knowledge of road cycling and the technical aspects of the discipline
  • Proven experience in organizing events
  • Fluency in English, Spanish. French is a plus
  • Able to provide sound recommendations on various lines of action and be proactive
  • Strong sense of organization and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Leadership
  • Ability to work alone and in a team
  • Motivated, curious and flexible
  • Very good interpersonal skills
  • Available to travel and work on weekends.
