The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Paid Performance/Media Manager to join our talented and growing team. The ideal candidate will be well versed in planning and executing paid social and Pay-Per-Click campaigns, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a creative eye to ensure campaigns deliver outstanding results for each product/event.
You’ll have a good eye for successful creative and in-depth experience of handling data and enjoy working with mass participation sporting events like Wizz Air Hackney Half, ASICS London 10k and London Triathlon to name a few.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create, manage and execute paid distribution of full-funnel advertising campaigns for our 7 events, across Meta, TikTok, Twitter and YouTube
- Manage and execute all internal reporting and insights on a regular and ad-hoc basis
- Implement and optimise ongoing creative assets and audience targeting variations and tactics
- Work with internal teams to ensure on-time and efficient delivery of paid campaigns across the group
- Manage communications with agencies, clients and partners in relation to paid media
- Monitor and analyse campaign data utilising reporting tools (including Google Analytics) to optimise and make recommendations for improvement
- Manage budgets and budget splits across multiple events and different channels
- Manage accurate budget reconciliation processes across media buys
- Implement best practices for paid social, PPC and audience targeting with oversight from Marketing Director
- Build media plans including strategy benchmarks, segmentation and measurement approach based on each event brief
- Be the expert across the Group for both strategic and tactical marketing performance
What you'll need:
- Working knowledge of media pixels and tracking setup with strong troubleshooting skills and overall familiarity with AdTech
- Strong ability to interpret data to measure campaign impact and effectiveness, identify actionable insights, and align cross-functional teams around the insights
- Results-driven with a strong ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations, action plans that drive high ROI
- Ideally 3+ years’ experience working in paid digital media, especially paid social, at a brand, publisher, agency or similar
- Experience executing campaigns and optimising across multiple paid social platforms in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in planning, managing and executing self-service paid campaigns.
- In-depth knowledge of paid social marketing fundamentals including targeting options and critical dimensions for measuring success (i.e. targeting behaviours, demographics, etc.)
- Experience managing monthly paid budgets varying in size from £1k per month through to £20k+ per month
- Strong knowledge of the existing paid social landscape and enthusiasm for discovering new, emerging platforms or capabilities that increase efficiencies and engagement
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (experience with client-facing communication a must)
- Previous end to end ownership of creative/copy testing with experience in formulating testing roadmaps, ad copy creation, creative briefing of visual assets in line with industry best practice, and results analysis
- Experience in the sports, events or entertainment
- Passionate about using data to understand customers and increase conversion rates across channels
- Strong understanding of digital marketing tactics across other channels incl. SEO, email, owned and earned media and the role of paid media in the wider marketing mix
- Valid right to work in the UK
The Package:
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. Weekends may be required in order to deliver events
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid working between home and office location London, SE1
Salary Bracket: £36,000-£40,000
Holiday: 25 Days annual leave + bank holidays + time off in lieu for every weekend day worked
