Main goal:

The EURO 2024 ICT Telecom Coordinator will design, document and develop business-oriented telecommunications solutions enabling professional and cost-effective work for EURO 2024. This position is part of the ICT Infrastructure Team and reports to the ICT Technical Solutions Manager based in Nyon.

Key responsibilities:

The EURO 2024 ICT Telecom Coordinator works in close collaboration with the EURO 2024 telecommunications partner, EURO 2024 Stadiums, other EURO 2024 teams such as Overlay & Technical Services and other UEFA teams such as the Broadcast Network team, ICT Event Ops and ICT InfoSec.

A strong technical background is necessary along with excellent writing, communication and coordination skills. Some event experience would be an advantage. The duties are as follows:

- Understanding EURO 2024's business objectives and requirements and determining the appropriate telecoms solutions;
- Maintaining a relationship with EURO 2024 telecoms partners;
- Helping to write documents in technical and business terms, including descriptions, drawings and maps as appropriate;
- Liaising with the ICT Technical Solutions Manager and the EURO 2024 telecoms partner to ensure that the most suitable project and technical resources are allocated to projects, while respecting delivery timelines;
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the EURO 2024 telecoms service by flagging recurring issues and identifying and addressing root causes;
- Supporting the ICT Technical Solutions Manager with day-to-day tasks relating to other UEFA competitions and the UEFA headquarters;
- Overseeing the definition and subsequent review of metrics and key performance indicators, and identifying and reporting trends to ensure the continuous improvement of a high-quality service;
- Helping to improve the standard of technical operations and competencies within the technical teams;
- Planning and monitoring the set-up and dismantling of all EURO 2024 venues;
- Coordinating all telecoms providers during the operational phase, in collaboration with all ICT service owners.


Profile:

Experience required:
- From 4 to 6 years' experience in leading and developing support services for a telecommunications infrastructure
- Strong familiarity with networking and IP transport
- Previous successful delivery to SLA-based service constraints and standard operational metrics

Education:
- Bachelor's in a relevant area, or equivalent work experience
- Technical Diploma A telecommunications certification (e.g., CCNP Routing and Switching) would be a plus

Languages:
- English / Advanced
- French and/or German language skills would be a plus
