Location: Can be based out of any of our global offices - some travel will be required each year

Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 plus bonus and benefits

Overview:

The Head of Technology will be responsible for leading the development, management and implementation of STH Group’s technology and data systems and strategy. This is an exciting time to join a fast-growing business, looking to expand their team with driven talent with a desire to progress.

This role will be a core part of a newly established Digital & Data Team which requires an experienced and innovative candidate who can collaborate with global team members to develop and drive technological capabilities to maximise STH Group’s strategic priorities.The candidate will require demonstrable examples of owning successful improvement projects, requiring an intrinsic understanding of the vitality of an innovative, effective and efficient digital approach to maximise capability of all STH Group’s functions and platforms.

Responsibilities:

Technology

  • Develop and deploy STH Group’s hybrid working technology to support all functional teams
  • Continuously monitor, assess, audit and improve the Cybersecurity and Cyber resilience of STH Group systems and platforms
  • Develop and maintain our technology infrastructure in ways which optimise performance and ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
  • Oversee the development and enhancement of digital systems, integrating new systems with those existing, specifically around ticketing, inventory management system design and maintenance.
  • Lead a programme of website optimisation initiatives to optimise site performance based on performance analysis, testing and latest competitor / industry developments
  • Appoint and manage all third-party website, software, system and platform suppliers, working to leverage our global, regional and local vendors, suppliers and service provider relationships as required.
  • Setting technology, platform and systems quality standards and playing a key role in identifying and championing improvements in the areas of technology, process, and product, ensuring existing and any new processes are followed and continually improved, reporting against progress and performance metrics.
  • To be the primary resource for matters of technology and data quality data management and analysis.
  • Support all departments, specifically Ticketing, Finance and Marketing / Digital, with innovative and effective technological support including ticketing data analytics, invoicing and payment and event day technology.
  • Analyse the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs and set-up, manage and maintain all IT hardware as required
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems and maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule as required
  • Responsibility for ownership of all IT policies ensuring compliance with security regulations.
  • Ensure effective and functional disaster recovery plans, procedures and processes are developed, maintained and tested,
  • ensuring backup and recovery platforms and protocols and managed and maintained
  • Act as an advanced technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with equipment, systems and data, ensuring backup and recovery platforms and protocols, and managed and maintained

Data Platforms and Analytics

  • Ensure STH Group have the resources and capabilities to deploy effective and efficient tools, processes, and rules that define how to manage, analyse, and act upon business data, as determined by the Marketing and Customer Experience lead.
  • Support the secure implementation of a digital strategy which ensures informed business decisions based on best-in-class business and market data.
  • Support the development of data and digital governance framework with policies and standards
  • Understand and map the core business digital processes/data flows within the organisation to assist with maintenance or upgrades, overseeing the preparation of business cases for enhancements and modifications to existing systems and for new developments and opportunities
  • Support STH’s data management practice follow relevant security protocols and data protection regulations to ensure STH Group data is safe and handled in compliance with all applicable laws.
  • Working alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Customer Experience lead to take an innovative approach to new data collection and analysis processes
  • Support the implementation, management and development of all customer lifecycle platforms, ensuring all end user technology and e-commerce, applications and products meet accessibility needs
  • Support the effective use, capability and functionality of CRM systems cross-departmentally
  • Support the optimisation and development of processes to analyse data metrics to elevate the overall customer experience.


Key Competencies:

  • Significant previous professional Technology Leadership experience in a similar field, adept to developing and executing strategic targets with a track record of successful execution
  • Strong proven people management and team management experience, fostering a culture of collaboration and personal development
  • Demonstrated progressive capability in global stakeholder engagement, able to provide progressive technological insights to aid both internal and external initiatives and discussions
  • Experience of writing reports, business cases and other examples of business writing
  • Able to handle large amounts of data and content from a wide variety of sources, transposing business, financial and technical understanding to produce consistent, high quality output – leading to commercial & revenue opportunities
  • Intrinsic understanding of technological, data and digital capabilities with experience in online sales and trading platforms
  • Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
  • A quality improvement mindset bringing new knowledge and experience to our organisation
  • Understanding of complex commercial platforms, with an ability to support global commercialisation activities
  • Ability to evaluate risks, manage emergency cases and set priorities and troubleshoot effectively and efficiently.
  • Project management of complex systems
  • Alibility to develop, deploy, monitor and maintain all organisational IT systems, driving upgrades as required
  • Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems
  • Proficient IT skills: ability to use in-house software– predominately Microsoft Office programmes to an advanced level (particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Word) including a detailed understanding of the MS Dynamics CRM system with ability to train members of staff and create reports when necessary
