The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs Rugby League Club is an iconic brand within Australian sport. The Bulldogs community is like no other and is at the centre of all Club activity. The Club’s official community program Bulldogs in the Community launched in 2009 and has achieved enormous success assisting charitable causes and raising over one million dollars for charity, local community organisations and schools, whilst harnessing the Game's popularity to deliver programs that make a difference in people's lives across Australia.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and as an Executive member, the General Manager - Community will lead, engage, influence and manage the Bulldogs Community, Foundation, and key stakeholder relationships to support the Club’s vision to be the best sporting brand in Australia and the purpose to unite and inspire.

The General Manager - Community will be empowered to recreate and lead a world-class Community program. The role will develop and implement the club’s community engagement plan, aligning and engaging all stakeholders to leverage and influence beneficial community and program outcomes.

To be considered for this role you will have a proven track record of building relationships within Community and in the sporting landscape. You thrive in driving social change outcomes and have in depth knowledge of the Bulldogs local community and “heart”. We are looking for a leader with a diverse set of skills, encompassing a deep understanding of marketing, commercial revenue streams and the professional sporting landscape.

Importantly, you will be a strategic thinker with the ability to identify and then capitalise on opportunities for programs and funding. Highly developed planning, communication and project management skills are required along with experience in developing long term relationships with key stakeholders including government, politicians and patrons. An understanding of and sensitivity to the multicultural nature of the community is required.

This is a unique opportunity to work within an iconic sport business to make a positive difference to the Bulldogs membership and wider community.
