Roles & Responsibilities:
As the Event Manager on NFG, you will report to the Event Director and hold regular update meetings with the ED and the rest of the NFG team. You will work closely with all arms of the NFG team and be responsible for all logistics.

  • Responsibility for planning and executing all NFG events across the year
  • Manage the NFG Event Executive/Assistant
  • Source and manage supplier and venue relationships
  • Recruitment of event staff, including volunteers & judges
  • Event budget creation & management
  • Work closely with the other arms of team NFG, incl. performance, sponsorship teams etc.
  • Relationship management with investors, partners, venues, competitors etc.
  • Work closely with the Event Director and Finance Department on the overall NFG event series’ P&L
  • Presenting ideas and results to Senior Management
  • Ensuring the NFG Event Series is managed efficiently and is as profitable as possible whilst maintaining an exceptional standard of event
  • Event evaluation and reporting
  • Develop competitor comms
  • Be the key person for all operational and logistical management
  • Role will include some travel and weekend work

Experience & Skills Required:

  • 3+ years’ experience in events in the sports & entertainment industry. Ideally within mass participation events
  • Passion for sport/fitness and experience within the industry
  • Experience in high-end event delivery with majority or sole responsibility
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines across multiple projects
  • A team player who is prepared to step outside of their job description to assist colleagues when required
  • Strong budget and financial management skills
  • Proven ability to deliver events on target for income and expenditure
  • Experience of project management
  • High degree of document writing and presentation experience
  • Excellent attention to detail

Key Qualities Required:

  • Initiative, intuition and pro-activeness in managing event properties
  • Highly motivated, confident and charged worker
  • Self-motivation, drive and ability to work unaided
  • Strong and clear communication skills
  • Ability to travel to meetings and events inside and outside of the UK – both weekdays and weekends
  • Full driving licence required
