Main goal:

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the EURO 2024 Promotion Coordinator manages and delivers promotional and fan engagement campaigns in the marketing strategy for UEFA EURO 2024 in Germany.
'A ticket for everyone to a global festival of European football' is our marketing communications platform from which we hope to deliver a truly immersive digital experience valued by fans all over the world.
Much of the work we deliver leans into fans' other daily passion points, such as music and gaming, to bring UEFA EURO 2024 to core football fans and main eventers where they are in the build-up to the tournament.
A core role of the broader Marketing Division is to optimise revenues for the short- and long-term benefit of European football. This is achieved by creating value in every activity undertaken and this role requires the Promotion Coordinator to drive commercial value from the promotional campaigns and activities.


Key responsibilities:

- Leading the management and delivery of integrated strategic communication and promotional plans for UEFA EURO 2024, ensuring they increase reach, engagement and acquisition of our key audience demographics and are delivered on time and on budget
- Engaging various key stakeholders at UEFA, the local organising structure and beyond
- Identifying synergies between UEFA's promotional plans and its commercial partners (broadcasters, sponsors, licensees)
- Ensuring promotional plans cater for host cities and commercial partners and, where relevant, amplify existing events and activities supported by these partners such as trophy tours, fan festivals etc.
- Ensuring that the plans are in line with UEFA's overall marketing strategy, including CRM and Brand, and are based on insights into consumers/fans (targeting), (localised) markets, trends, best practice and the competition itself
- Measuring, analysing and reporting on the status and success of the promotional plans; delivering updates and final reports in an easy-to-consume manner with relevant context for all stakeholders including senior management
- Managing a wide range of agencies including creative, PR/influencer and media, ensuring plans are delivered to the highest level and making optimum use of resources
- Championing the plans both within and outside the organisation, ensuring full awareness and buy-in from all relevant stakeholders (other UEFA divisions, partners, clubs, national associations, etc.)


Profile:

Experience required:
- from 4 to 6 years' experience in digital marketing spanning creative campaigns, PR, influencers and paid media/programmatic and social
- from 1 to 3 years' experience of sports specific marketing

Education:
- Bachelor's in marketing, media or business

Languages:
- English / Proficient
- German is a plus
