MISSION
The EURO 2020 Host Country Projects Unit oversees and helps the EURO 2020 host cities and authorities to
implement all projects delivered outside stadiums for the tournament, i.e. EURO 2020 host city promotion, fan
zones, team services, spectator experience and mobility.
The Host Country Projects Assistant provides support for the coordination and organisation of the unit’s events,
projects and activities.
He or she is also responsible for organising the outer areas working visits. These site visits to the Host Cities
involve all UEFA projects that need to review EURO 2020 tournament operational areas outside the stadium, e.g.
team training facilities, fan zones, airports, train stations and hotels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning and coordinating the outer area working visits in close collaboration with the host cities and all UEFA
- projects involved;
- Organising host city workshops, meetings and training sessions;
- Compiling, editing and proofreading official reports and other documents;
- Providing support with the account management of UEFA’s fan zone agency for EURO 2020, ensuring the flow
- of information to/from the agency, following up on deliverables, invoicing and fan zone venue staff onboarding;
- Additional administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the unit’s activities.
- During the Tournament
- Being a member of the Host Country Projects hotline team for resolving issues;
- Helping to monitor and report on fan zone matters.
PROFILE OF SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
Experience required:
- 3 years' professional experience in an international environment
- from 1 to 3 years professional experience in event organisation
- less than 1 year previous experience working with sports event stakeholders
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in international relations, sports management or another relevant fieldsector
Languages:
- English / Proficient
- French / is an asset
