The Opportunity
In this critical role you will be helping us achieve our vision to unite, entertain and grow football in Australia, by developing and delivering a world-class user experience as an integral part of a team at the heart of defining, building and leading the next generation of digital sports experience.
A key part of the core Commercial and Product teams, this role involves managing the identification, development, implementation and end-to-end delivery of revenue generating campaigns, integrations and partnership processes, and supporting delivery of key commercial projects.
Functions
- Experience in media, and a passion for football/sport is preferable.
- Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of the CMS, site information architecture and product feature set, and become an SME on all functional platforms related to content creation and delivery across the APL ecosystem.
- Provide a point of contact for inbound questions and requests as related to digital production, execution, timelines and content creation.
- Work with analytics specialists on traffic, site performance, user journey and user experience, identifying ways to improve and implement solutions.
- Deliver best practice UX and engaging online experiences across all of APL’s digital content offering, for all visitors.
The Responsibilities
- Manage the identification, development, implementation and delivery of revenue generating campaigns and/or commercial product initiatives, ensuring project management timelines are built, communicated to all internal and external stakeholders, and met.
- Manage and oversee digital commercial assignments, such as custom page and article builds, ad design, paid social activity and layouts, video and infographics / animations.
- Assist the Commercial, Product and Content teams in researching, identifying and delivering new and innovative commercial opportunities across the product suite.
- Responsible for managing multiple commercial project schedules, priorities, and managing the negotiation of conflicts as required to ensure defined deadlines are met.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of market trends and industry best practice to improve the product and service offering, to deliver a competitive commercial advantage.
- Develop solutions/actions for under performing campaigns to ensure we meet and exceed client expectations.
- Day-to-day stakeholder partners within tight timeframes, ensuring commercial campaigns are executed on-time and per agreed requirements.
- Tracking and monitoring all commercial on-network campaigns, providing an efficient and effective end-to-end service for our partners and ensuring successful outcomes for our sponsors.
- Update product and sales collateral to keep our offering up-to-date for our sales teams.
- Attention to detail, ability to closely monitor projects and campaign delivery.
About You
- Relevant qualifications/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role working on large, content-driven websites within a publishing environment.
- Advanced experience with Content Management Systems.
- A solid understanding of online technology.
- A solid understanding and experience with UX, IA and web structure.
- Demonstrable experience in optimising content for search and analytical measures.
- A working knowledge of analysis tools, including analytics, heatmap or similar personalization tools / methods.
- An intermediate understanding of JS, HTML, and / or CSS is beneficial.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- A strong attention to detail, with good process and planning skills.
- The ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines across multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders at various levels.
- A willingness to get involved and show initiative in a creative environment.
