The LTA is the National Governing Body of tennis for Great Britain. We are here to govern and grow tennis, from grassroots participation through to the professional game. The Marketing and Commercial Team exists to broaden the relevance and increase the visibility of tennis all year round, in order to grow participation and fan engagement. It seeks to do this by:

  • Developing and executing a new fit for purpose brand for tennis.
  • Building content and communications that increase levels of fan engagement drive new participation and win back lapsed players.
  • Delivering a brand partner strategy to develop and maximise our assets.

The Assistant Brand Marketing Manager reports to Senior Brand Marketing Manager. Key Accountabilities

  • Execute against key elements of our brand marketing plan, including:
    • Campaign moments and Major Events;
    • Athlete integration
    • Indirect workforce engagement
    • Strategic objectives to increase participation across a range of audiences;
    • Delivery of brand marketing strategies to attract more fans into our marketable universe, including high performance and competitions.
  • Help manage brand partnerships with our key sponsors, ensuring that our commercial commitments are fulfilled and that our partnerships deliver best value for us, our tournaments and our audiences
  • Be the point person in the team for athlete engagement. Ensure opportunities to integrate athletes into brand marketing activity are maximised as a constant source of inspiration and that we harness the excitement and emotion from the Davis Cup, Fed Cup and ATP Cup teams.
  • Lead on plan development and execution for colleague and workforce engagement; exciting, surprising and integrating the indirect workforce (clubs, coaches and volunteers) with campaign activity. Take ownership of associated project timelines, milestones, KPIs and deliverables, ensuring they deliver against strategy and targets, are on time and on budget
  • Partner with members of the brand marketing team, customer engagement team, commercial team and communications function to execute plans effectively
  • Be the brand lead on consumer events, including agency and budget management, where required
  • Support the Senior Brand Marketing Manager with activation for commercial partners, including sponsorship activations at major events.
  • Act as a guardian for our brand across all owned and partner channels, to ensure consistency and increase brand awareness

Person Specification

Previous Experience of:

Proven professional experience working in a client-side marketing team delivering multi-channel campaigns

Essential

Demonstrable experience of working within a defined brand strategy, to ensure the creative application of brand identity across a range of products and services to the highest standards

Essential

Media buying and creative development expertise and experience in managing multiple agencies

Essential

Ability to balance and proactively manage multiple tasks to completion, on time and on budget

Essential

Solid expertise in selling events to a wide range of audiences, experience of working with commercial targets and ideally working side by side with ticketing agencies to achieve agreed business objectives and targets for each tournament

Highly desirable

Excellent stakeholder management experience with a track record in gaining buy-in at senior levels

Highly desirable

Financial literacy and strong analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
