ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSOCIATE

Overall Responsibility:

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical and hands-on Accounts Payable / Receivable Associate to join our Accounting Department. You will be part of a team of six professionals. This position plays a very pivotal role and will interact with many of our employees and external vendors to ensure all transactions are processed and reported timely and accurately. This position reports directly to the Operations Controller. This is an on-site permanent role, based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day full-cycle accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate and timely payment processing while adhering to departmental procedure.
• Receive, allocate and enter high-volume vendor invoices and employee expense reports from multiple entities. 
• Prepare multiple batch check runs, ACH & wire payment requests throughout the week.
• Process and follow up on “urgent” items. Respond timely to internal and external vendor inquiries / issues.
• Establish and maintain relationship with new and existing vendors.
• Set up new vendors and update financial records in accounting system.
• Maintain vendor filing system of all processed documents in an organized manner.
• Maintain the billing system.  Generate invoices and account statements.
• Performing account reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve any irregularities or enquiries from clients. 
• Assist in the monthly close process.
• Prepare Form 1099s.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of accounting procedures (SAP and Concur preferred).

• 2- 4 years general accounting experience.  Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Preferred
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite (mainly Excel).
• Knowledge of Salesforce a plus.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Strong sense of responsibility, autonomy, motivation and team player.
• Provide excellent customer service by communication professionally internally and externally.
• Strong attention to detail.
