About the role

The Event Manager will be responsible for the planning and coordinating the delivery of world class training and match venues for the T20 World Cups. This role will lead the development of the venue delivery and integration plan for each allocated venue, in conjunction with the ICC, venue representatives, Cricket Australia and internal Functional Areas, ensuring identification of the scope of operational requirements which will lead to the successful delivery of the two World Cups.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and innovative event operations professional to ensure exceptional integration and service delivery for both the women’s and men’s events, spanning 13 venues across Australia in the same year!

About you

  • You have demonstrated hands-on and operational experience implementing venue planning and delivery for an international sport event
  • You have a strong understanding of venue and operational safety, risk and environmental standards at Australian venues
  • You are a born communicator, with proven ability to develop, maintain and positive leverage stakeholder relationships across all our venues. You enjoy engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders and are easily able to utilise your negotiating and influencing skills when necessary
  • You are extremely organised, with strong administrative skills, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Your extensive experience to date will have equipped you with the ability to create and deliver innovative solutions to help us deliver a Spectacular Celebration in 2020!

In 2020, Australia has a unique opportunity to host this major global event – two World Cups in the same year!
