We are looking for a Manager, Digital Research & Intelligence to start as soon as possible.

Job Requirements

  • Provide intelligence and fact-based arguments for rights-out (e.g., digital sponsorship and advertising sales to brands) and rights-in (rights acquisition from rights holders)
  • Manage digital intelligence suppliers and services, strengthen key relationships, and create economies of scale
  • Evaluate the value of digital commercial rights and identify potential ways to maximize the performance of commercial packages
  • Provide insights and recommendations around the planning of specific digital campaigns
  • Run fan research (e.g., i.e. via online surveys on owned digital / social media channels and platforms)
  • Benchmark industry trends and best practices in digital sponsorships and activation and develop regular reports
  • Build and manage a central knowledge hub for digital intelligence by storing and cataloguing data and insights more efficiently
  • Become the go-to person for all things intelligence and driving education with the broader in-market research teams
  • Define group-wide research measurement standards and methodologies and ensure comparability of data and valuations across all markets / properties / sports
  • Improve valuation of rights-in opportunities by aligning and closely collaborating with other business intelligence managers within the unit (media, sponsorship)
  • Present digital intelligence and research and related Infront capabilities in the context of rights acquisitions and brand pitches

Other tasks

  • Coordinate with the Digital and Business Development teams on digital intelligence matters
  • Support Brands Sales, Intelligence & Consulting on selected projects on a case-by-case basis
  • Provide assistance to subsidiaries in terms of digital insights and intelligence for major national rights-in negotiations and bids
  • Jointly with the other peers from the Business Intelligence unit build, lead, and drive a group-wide intelligence expert group (e.g., cross-market)

Educational background

  • Advanced education (university bachelor degree), preferably in Digital Marketing, Sports Management / Marketing, Business Administration, IT, or (Sports / Computer / Information) Science

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a research or intelligence function in digital marketing as a must, ideally in the sports (or entertainment) industry

Skills & competencies

  • Extensive understanding of the digital landscape and close relationship with business intelligence providers
  • Fluency with sponsorship valuations
  • Data-driven person with in-depth knowledge of research and insight methodologies, data capturing and knowledge creation and transfer
  • Strong analytic, communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft CRM
  • Ability to manipulate large, complex data sets using a variety of software applications (e.g., SPSS, SAS), including the use of relational databases
  • Expertise in performing statistical analysis
  • Good understanding of sales processes, pitches and after-sales services
  • Sound organisational skills
