Job Description

Your duties

  • Responsible for the successful launch and implementation of the FIFA Legends projects, activities and associated events
  • Identifying new areas, activities where the players and legends could add value to FIFA’s mission and objectives
  • Supporting the Director with the strategy and concept of the subdivision as well as to plan the 4-years-lifecycle calendar of the Legends accordingly
  • Evolving/developing the Legends concept together with Director and Commercial in order to have a self-sustainable Legends Programme
  • Implementing actions to improve direct connection with fans and social media appearance in collaboration with Digital Media / Communications division
  • Managing specific and event related tasks such as: Delegation Management, travel planning, Protocol, service level allocation, transportation, offices, catering, guest management, hospitality, etc as well as being the single point of contact for business partners from other departments/divisions
  • Preparing events (Project Management, conceptual work) as well as to manage the activities on site (operational work), support and ad-hoc task management
  • Strategic and operational support for the FIFA Legends as assigned – including the use of FIFA tools and platforms
  • Overseeing certain events under the responsibility of the DSG Football
  • Defining and documenting service level standards and document debriefs

Our requirements

  • Master degree in Sport Management / Sport Business or similar
  • Experience of similar programs with “legends” of sports, preferably with football legends
  • Minimum 7 years direct work experience in sports VIP events
  • Experience with large Events in the sports industry, including event management, access and accreditation, transport, Commercial, Media etc.
  • Established and proven network in the world of sports, in particular football players
  • Experience in recruiting talent for Legends programme projects and activities and negotiating terms and conditions for their participation
  • Strong Marketing/Commercial and Digital Media knowledge
  • English fluent in speaking and writing is a must, written and oral fluency in Spanish or French (further languages a bonus)
  • Ability to formally represent the Legends programme in meetings, events and other functions and to mentor temporary event support staff (internal and external) and coordinate and delegate tasks
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise a diversified workload
  • Flexible, structured and solution driven
  • Willingness to travel
