Major Events International (MEI) is a specialist consultancy operating in support of Olympic, World Cup and other global sports events. Part of supporting clients is arranging a fully integrated campaign which includes connectivity, market profile, advice and mentoring or any other gap they feel needs filling as a result of our global connectivity.

A small central London team interface with International Associates who operate from target markets and MEI has an extensive network of partnerships which allows best of breed and economies of scale to be achieved.

Main Purpose of the Role

To provide a range of business support to the small core team of key accounts managers, marketing and communication, the CEO and internal and external event coordination, including:

  • Management of the CRM and growth of new contacts
  • Travel and Diary management
  • Raising Invoices and reconciling payments supported by external accountants
  • Event planning and coordination support
  • Creation of presentational support material to include professional PowerPoint and basic marketing fliers
  • Support social media and maintain website

Reporting: Directly to CEO MEI

  • Outstanding organisational skills and high energy and commitment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills in a small team environment
  • Ability to build new relationships with external agencies and maintain close working relationships
  • Ability to meet challenging deadlines when multi-tasking
  • Strong team player

Place of Employment

  • Central London
  • Occasional visits to client offices, external events and potential overseas markets conference and expos

Ways of Working

  • This is a standard office hours’ role, less attendance at events, meeting deadlines which will require occasional extended hours
  •  Some international travel will be necessary for maximum 10 days

Remuneration and employment terms:

  • Base Salary plus opportunities for bonus payments
  • Pre-agreed expenses to be confirmed in writing and paid monthly
  • Pro-rated holiday entitlement​
