The Event Manager and Project Leader is responsible on the event management and project leadership side for specific UEFA's national team competitions (e.g. the UEFA European Under-21 Championship final tournament), under the guidance and with the necessary support of senior management, leading the process from strategic planning to on-site implementation and post-event completion of the project.


- Establishing and updating strategic and conceptual documents (e.g. project plans, tournament requirements, operational principles, etc.) that serve as the basis for managing the assigned projects;
- Leading and managing the project team and being accountable for the successful operational implementation of the assigned projects;
- Assuming project budget responsibility;
- Acting as UEFA's main contact for the local organising committee (LOC), establishing trustworthy and goal-oriented cooperation;
- Overseeing, guiding and aligning all internal subdomains involved with the assigned projects;
- In cooperation with other UEFA units, agreeing on service levels and resource usage, including staff deployment plans;
- Closing the event accounts in close cooperation with the LOC and the UEFA finance division;
- Initiating and leading the debrief process, collecting all relevant data and feedback from all key stakeholders involved;
- Assisting with the process of appointing future hosts by defining and updating the tournament requirements.


Experience required:
- from 4 to 6 years as event manager/coordinator organising major sports events or similar

- any adequate education or diploma acquired, which strengthens and complements the personal skills and competences required for this position

- English / Proficient
