In 2020, the UEFA European Football Championship (EURO) will celebrate its 60th anniversary. To celebrate this milestone, the tournament will be played across 12 different European cities, bringing the EURO closer to the fans and celebrating the best of European football and culture. To make this all possible, we need fantastic, dedicated people in every area.
The Signage Coordinator will be part of the signage team, planning, implementing and operating signage elements for the tournament in all 12 stadiums and at the international broadcast centre in Amsterdam, as well as for other related events such as draws, workshops and training sessions. The Signage Coordinator needs to act as a dynamic interface between all parties involved to deliver the best possible result on time and within budget.
Reporting to the Signage Manager, the Signage Coordinator will work closely with internal stakeholders such as the venue management, TV production, media operations, technical services, hospitality, transport, accreditation and brand production teams, as well as with various suppliers to provide all scoped services. Close teamwork with other colleagues in the signage team, as well as with other internal stakeholders, will be essential for knowledge transfer and information exchange.
*Coordinating several signage subprojects and ensuring delivery to the highest possible level, on time and within budget;
*Maintaining cooperation and communication with internal units and external suppliers/local authorities to be a proactive contributor to the whole delivery of the project;
*Developing innovative ideas and solutions for signage implementation to streamline internal work processes and enhance the look and feel at venues;
*Establishing project plans, timelines, budgets and status reports with the necessary information before and after the tournament.
Before the tournament:
*Planning, producing and implementing all elements of stadium/event location dressing (venue branding, wayfinding for all UEFA target groups, TV/media and hospitality requirements, concession stands, supersites etc.);
*Implementing rights delivery for the different UEFA partners;
*Preparing and implementing the branding concept for the team training grounds, the IBC, team buses and other off-site areas;
*Implementing the signage concept for the final draw and other pre-tournament events;
*Planning and coordinating with internal UEFA/EURO 2020 stakeholders, as well as external suppliers, stadium staff and local authorities.
During the tournament:
*Fulfilling an on-site role during the tournament as signage manager at one of the 12 stadiums to oversee and coordinate all signage installations and act as an interface between the signage supplier and UEFA internal stakeholders, especially the venue operations team.
After the tournament:
*Assisting with the project administration, reporting and debriefing process.
- from 4 to 6 years / in the signage or print production industry, including familiarity with printing methods, materials and installation solutions
- from 1 to 3 years / of coordination and delivery of a world-class event
- Bachelor's in a relevant field such as marketing operations, international business, sports management or event management
