The Event Integration Manager establishes and safeguards all integration processes, supports the Event Planning & Integration working group and any other ad hoc integration forum, develops and maintains the integration tools/processes such as terminology lists, responsibility and communication matrices, event integrated timelines,  etc., and acts as the key information distributor within the division. Lastly, he/she is the main liaison with Tournament Operations & Planning Programme with any matters related to the department.

Key responsibilities

Support the Ops Planning & Integration Senior Manager in fulfilling their roles of liaison, alignment and integrations with the relevant stakeholders on all matters related to:
•Accommodation (Infrastructure and Operations)
•Hospitality
•FIFA Fan Fests and Fan Zones
Technology and Broadcasting
•Transport Infrastructure & Mobility (including airports and borders management, roads, and rail as well as public transport)
•Logistics & Customs
•Medical & Doping Control
•Power
•Security
•Workforce
•Etc.

Functional Planning Integration Support
•Support the coordination between the stakeholders for the delivery of cross-functional scoping and functional operational planning for the specific areas: creating and assisting with support materials and presentations,  reviewing existing documentation, integrating with relevant knowledge documentation
•Track and update pending issues, tasks and actions affecting the integration and progress of the project
•Regularly update both central and function’s specific progress reports in any required variety of formats (MS Project, excel, roadmaps, etc)
•Organisations of meetings and forums relevant to the project and preparation of support material and follow up reports and action tracking

Qualifications, experience and skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and/or Sports Management or relevant degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum 12  years of various types of operational planning and delivery experience in large scale international sport events
• Understanding of the scope and importance of Event Delivery Services to major sport events constituent/client groups
• Understanding and ability to implement tracking of milestones, updating of roadmaps, developing timelines and integrated schedules, etc
• Proven ability to manage clients and relations with multiple departments
• Experience in strategic and operational planning at major sport events would be an asset
• Previous interaction with FIFA and/or other International Sport organisations will be an added benefit
• Experience of working in the region and knowledge of local culture will be an added benefit
• Excellent communications skills
• Excellent analytical and people management skills
• Ability to understand the big picture and adapt accordingly
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Flexibility and a related ability to work autonomously
• Team player, willing to work on tight timelines and pitch in when needed
• Positive attitude, patience and persistence
