The Office of Sport works with key sector partners to promote and deliver a vibrant and valued sport and active recreation sector that enhances the lives of the people of NSW.
The Office is responsible for planning, managing and delivering high quality venues, facilities, sport and active recreation development programs, high-performance sport, sports integrity and safety. It is also the driver for NSW sport policy and strategy, the formation and dissemination of insights and information, and the promotion of partnerships.
The Director, Operations and Programs contributes to the government’s priorities and the Office of Sport’s Strategic Plan, driving the development and delivery of the Operations support functions for the Sport and Recreation Services Group and leading key programs including Sport Regulation (Combat Sports and Motor Vehicle Sports), Funding and Grants, and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
To be considered for this role you will have demonstrated e xpertise in large scale program development and delivery in the context of competing needs. You will be a dynamic leader with the proven ability to manage a multi-disciplinary team in the achievement of business and community goals. These experiences may have been gained in the sport and recreation, corporate and/or government sectors.
