Profile:

Reporting to the HB Venue & Operations Manager in Nyon, the Broadcast Venue Manager has overall responsibility for all venue-related broadcast operations at the 12 UEFA EURO 2020 venues. The role oversees UEFA's host broadcast (HB) operations, and oversees and protects the interests of the unilateral broadcast partners as well as the mission of the Media Rights & Production Services Unit. The Broadcast Venue Manager supervises the venue-based management teams and organises the venue-based multilateral and unilateral television operations.
Before the tournament, the Broadcast Venue Manager hands over to the event-time Broadcast Venue Managers and then concentrates on his or her own assigned venue during the tournament.
The ideal candidate should have a very good host broadcast and production experience and understand the concept of TV broadcasting and HB venue management. He/she should be culturally sensitive, a team leader and able to manage a multinational team in a foreign environment.
This position will be based in Nyon until moving to the assigned venue in 2020.

Purpose:

General
* Organising and implementing the venue-based multilateral television operations, including unilateral services;
* Acting as the principal contact for broadcast operations at the 12 EURO 2020 venues and liaising with the Operations Division to ensure smooth HB and unilateral broadcast partner planning and operations at each venue;
* Liaising with the Broadcaster Services Unit to ensure that all booked services are delivered to the satisfaction of the unilateral broadcast partners.
Pre-tournament
* Managing, allocating and coordinating the venue-based multilateral television operations, including unilateral services;
* Coordinating and cooperating closely with the EURO 2020 HB venue operations team at the international broadcast centre (IBC);
* Coordinating HB activities at the EURO 2020 venues and serving as the line of communication to senior management at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland;
* From approximately two months before the tournament, reporting regularly to the IBC operations headquarters on broadcast activities at venues, including any irregularities or incidents that may occur; from shortly before the tournament, compiling and delivering daily venue reports to the IBC operations headquarters;
* Assisting with other ad hoc UEFA HB projects if required.
In-tournament, at the assigned venue
* Holding overall responsibility for all venue-related broadcast operations;
* Organising and implementing the venue-based multilateral television operations, including unilateral services;
* Managing and supervising the venue-based management team;
* Coordinating all HB venue operations activities, and serving as the line of communication to the IBC;
* Coordinating and overseeing the installation of all equipment and facilities for HB service providers;
* Ensuring that all facilities and services booked by unilateral broadcast partners are in place and delivered, as advised by the Senior Broadcast Liaison Officer.

Requirements:

Experience required:
- from 4 to 6 years / working on major sports events (UEFA EURO, FIFA World Cup, Olympics, etc.)

Education:
- Bachelor's in a relevant subject
- Masters in sports management

Languages:
- English / Proficient

- Very good host broadcast and production experience and understanding of the concepts of TV broadcasting and HB venue management
- Significant prior involvement in a major sports event such as a UEFA EURO, FIFA World Cup or the Olympic Games

- Strong team player with solutions-based approach
- Able to adapt to different cultures
