The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) plays a central leadership role in the development and operations of the Australian sport sector and acts as the leading sports agency in Australia, building collaboration, alignment and effectiveness within the Australian sport sector.

The Sport Business division is accountable for enabling more Australians to move more often delivering health, education and community impact. Building sport capability to create a robust, connected industry; driving a sector approach to growing participation; and investing in and monitoring the delivery of outcomes that make a significant impact of all Australians.

The ASC is now seeking a Deputy General Manager, Participation and Business Performance.

As a member of the ASC Senior Leadership Team, the Deputy General Manager Participation and Business Performance is responsible for leading the customer life stages for participation in sport and physical activity through a world class industry workforce plan and outcomes based investment model that enables more Australians to move more often delivering health, education and community impact - leading a change to move it.

Candidates will need to demonstrate proven experience in translating research into insight, strategy and successful execution to significantly grow participation in a sport, preferably the sector. It is likely you will have extensive experience in the field of sports management (desirable), with specific experience in a field/s pertinent to the work of capability building, participation growth and/or financial management.

This is a unique role that works in partnership with the sport industry workforce, developing a national framework with systems and efficient process across coaching, officiating and development both professional and voluntary.
