Job Description

To support our Ethics Department, FIFA is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic      

Head of Ethics for the Secretariat Investigatory Chamber        

Your duties    

  • Leading the Secretariat of the Investigatory Chamber of the Ethics Committee in coordination with the Director of the Secretariat to Independent Committees Ensuring that Member Associations correctly apply ethics procedures and advising about ethics related cases and matters
  • Cooperating with other relevant bodies of FIFA and Member Associations for drafting ethics and disciplinary codes
  • Assisting the Investigatory Chamber of the Ethics Committee in investigation proceedings, preparing investigatory files, submitting cases to the Adjudicatory Chamber and guaranteeing the sharing of information related to the Ethics Committee, in particular of any precedent cases as well as the appropriate legal foundation of all relevant decisions
  • Helping set up measures to prevent violations to the FIFA Code of Ethics and better guarantee the safeguarding and integrity of football worldwide
  • Developing of programmes to protect the Integrity of Football and drafting, developing and implementing of FIFA’s policy on match manipulation to safeguard all FIFFA organized competitions
  • Ensuring the applications of laws, regulations, directives and procedures, particularly the ethics related regulation
  • Drafting an annual overall report with all the respective information to stakeholders        

Our requirements    

  • University degree in law, bar exam a plus
  • Work experience in international law also as a lawyer in South America
  • Experience in investigatory proceedings, ethic procedures, legal proceedings before courts and administrative law also in South-America
  • Experiences in sports law and football judicial bodies as well as criminal law and forensic investigation, compliance and sport regulations
  • Spanish mother tongue and fluency in English; French and German is an advantage; Sound understanding of the South-American legislation and culture
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and relationship-building skills
  • Team player who is self-motivated and responsible and can work autonomously
  • Ability to lead a team and to be part of a large organization
