Ski Racing Australia (SRA) is the governing national sporting association for water ski racing in Australia. It is a not-for-profit organisation administered by a volunteer Board of Directors and affiliated to the overarching national and international governing bodies, the Australian & International Waterski and Wakeboard Federations.

SRA has over 1,200 members and is responsible for all membership administration. The ski racing state bodies and club organisations, via their Boards and committees, host events under the SRA Rule Book and Sanction, which includes providing the events with insurance, race control management and general governance.

Reporting to and working closely with the SRA Board, the Chief Executive Officer implements and manages the policies, operations and services of SRA.

This is a very hands-on role, responsible for leading SRA and its state bodies, while implementing strategic and operational plans of the organisation as a whole. As Chief Executive Officer you will be tasked with building membership, engaging the ski racing community and managing stakeholder relationships whilst running the day to day business operations of the national office. There is regular travel with a busy event calendar, with most events held in regional centres.

Working closely with the Board, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills and share in achieving and developing the future vision of a national organisation.

To be considered for this role you will need strong administrative and management skills with the ability to engage and develop lasting, positive relationships with the stakeholder family. You will be thorough, accurate and timely in your work and capable of managing a range of tasks and duties in this small national office. You will have a good understanding of and experiences in identifying and creating sustainable commercial partnerships and opportunities.

This role provides opportunity to lead and grow an evolving National Sporting Organisation and would suit a candidate who has previous Chief Executive Officer experiences or is ready for the next career step from a General Management or senior Operations Management role, ideally from within a not-for-profit or sporting organisation.
