Job Description

Do you have what it takes to help the new Tournaments & Events Division organise football tournaments throughout the world? FIFA is looking to recruit a flexible and experienced colleague as a      

Safety & Security Manager        

Your duties:    

  • Advising and assisting LOCs of FIFA’s tournaments and events in developing security concepts and operational plans; successful implementation of FIFA’s security strategic concepts for all FIFA tournaments & events
  • Close collaboration with all relevant departments and divisions within FIFA; ensuring that the appropriate conditions are provided for relevant FIFA stakeholders, stadium/venue owners, host associations, LOCs, local authorities and third-party entities
  • Continuously reviewing and proposing amendments to FIFA’s security regulations at competitions and events; overseeing and integrating the security strategy plans in order to ensure the requirements of all relevant stakeholders are aligned
  • Being the key point of reference for the Director Security Tournaments & Events on all security matters
  • Collaboration with internal and external partners; optimising the overall result and proactively finding compromises, efficiency measures and synergies with other departments and divisions
  • Developing a continuous risk management for all tournaments and events; conducting a continuous market analysis in the field of safety and security technology        

Our requirements:    

  • University degree in law, adequate police/military education or other security related education
  • Proven track record of managing complex international security projects, preferably within international sport events
  • Profound knowledge of security structures and responsibilities, public and private authorities
  • At least five years’ work experience with sport competitions, preferably in football
  • Fluency in English and another FIFA language (German, French or Spanish)
  • Excellent team player with a self-driven, autonomous and accurate working style
  • Strong communication skills and ability to think out of the box
