Position summary:

To work towards achieving the Sales targets as set by the RSM to ensure achievement of company objectives, to continuously work towards increasing market share and sales.

Essential functions and key responsibilities:

To achieve gross sales target issues by RSM:

  • Must achieve a minimum of 80% of each category target within total target achievement, through;
  • Economic coverage of all defined accounts
  • Selling in of relevant product lines for appropriate seasons
  • Selling focus lines as instructed including distribution targets
  • Using recognized selling techniques
  • Consistently working towards meeting goals with energy and enthusiasm
  • Developing account base to optimize TaylorMade Golf strategies
  • Developing own skills, knowledge and expertise to identify and take advantage of further opportunities to ensure maximum job performance

Business reporting:

  • To provide business reporting as instructed by RSM or senior management ensuring that reporting:
  • Adheres to OTIF – On Time In Full principle
  • Is consistently accurate demonstrating an understanding of reporting requirements 
  • Is clear, effective and provided promptly 
  • To demonstrate understanding of competitor activity and market position within the area to feed into forecasting of predicted turnover.

Education, training, professional certification and work experience:

  • Significant sales experience 
  • Golf knowledge and/or industry specific experience 

Knowledge and skills requirements:

  • Knowledge of trends and developments that affect TaylorMade competitiveness
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of finance
  • Track record of influencing sales performance and profitability through expert knowledge 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient with the use of Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
