The Digital Editorial Project Manager manages and delivers editorial-led projects across UEFA's owned and operated digital platforms in line with UEFA's global digital strategy with a view to engaging with fans everywhere.


  • Managing projects and delivering tasks in accordance with global product guidelines, which entails working closely with colleagues to conceptualise, develop and deliver - on time and on budget - various competition-related digital products for publication on UEFA's native and social media platforms;
  • Providing the digital development team with key editorial input and guidance as regards the development and implementation of projects relating to the 2018-22 UEFA competitions on UEFA's platforms and the development of any related CMS platforms across various languages and content types (text, data, graphics, photos, video, etc.);
  • Providing key editorial input and guidance for UEFA competition apps and syndication services, as well as helping to deliver non-competition-related initiatives (such as the UEFA.com Team of the Year);
  • Acting as a bridge between the editorial and development teams and as a contact point for the provision of feedback, testing, validation, integration and the planning of promotional activities (newsletters, social media posts, etc.) throughout the various phases of a project;
  • Ensuring that proper reporting structures, key performance indicators, data analysis and other agreed data metrics are systematically implemented;
  • Liaising with colleagues during the preparatory phase to ensure that the necessary resources are in place, maintaining all deliverables for each project and providing relevant stakeholders with full details of all budgetary implications;
  • Liaising with editors from the concept phase and the requirement gathering phase right through to the content commissioning and promotion phases, and delivering user guides and publication schedules for use/implementation by the editorial team;
  • Liaising with the operations team regarding the resolution of bugs/issues, and planning platform configuration activity;
  • Working with the digital development team to establish a long-term project planner providing regular updates to all members of the editorial team;
  • Providing key editorial input and guidance for activation activities in other areas (e.g. marketing) as required and liaising with the content and production teams to help support such campaigns;
  • Ensuring that all the tasks and responsibilities that editorial-led projects entail (as outlined above) are carried out as required.


Experience required:

  • From 4 to 6 years' experience of delivering projects on a sport and/or news-related platform
  • From 4 to 6 years' experience in project management
  • From 4 to 6 years' experience of working in an international environment


  • Bachelor's in a relevant field
  • Project Management certification


  • English / Proficient
