Established in 1973, the FIA WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP (WRC) is widely regarded as the most challenging motorsport championship in the world. In 2017, the roads on this epic motorsport adventure are spread across 15 countries, with 13 rallies on everything from snow packed forest tracks to rock-strewn mountain passes. The WRC Promoter GmbH - founded by the sportsman media group together with Red Bull Media House - is responsible for all commercial aspects of the WRC since 2013. These include the worldwide commercialization of media and sponsoring rights as well as the production of TV formats for all rallies across the WRC calendar. For more information visit www.wrc.com. AREAS THAT PLAY TO YOU STRENGTHS (all the responsibilities we'll trust you with)

ACQUISITION AND NEGOTIATION OF COMMERCIAL PARTNERSHIPS

  • Drive the global commercialization of advertising rights packages of the WRC 
  • Identify new commercial partners, sponsors, suppliers and online marketing partners for the WRC via research across industries and markets
  • Contact new prospects and secure initial meetings 
  • Negotiate with prospective new sponsors
  • Steer agencies to coordinate sales activities 
  • Create the overall package structure for sponsors and suppliers

REPORTING

  • Maintain sales tracking system and reporting tools

DRIVE MARKETING STRATEGY AND EXECUTION

  • Develop new marketing concepts, business presentations and commercial proposals, tailored to individual needs 
  • Develop and produce innovative marketing collateral and tools
  • Arrange and host workshops and hospitality invitations for partners and prospects

YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:

(proven performance in)

  1. Minimum of four years in a customer facing sales position and/or sponsorship/media sales preferably in an international organization in the sports or media industry 
  2. Successful track record in sales and customer-facing roles
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to cooperate with a variety of people and cultures 
  4. Strong communication and negotiation skills
  5. Driven and self-motivated with enthusiasm for sports 
  6. IT literate
