Workforce Operations Manager
The Glasgow 2018 European Championships is a new multi-sport event which will be held in Glasgow and Berlin in the summer of 2018. More than 8000 athletes, officials and media are expected in Glasgow and Scotland with a potential television audience of more than one billion.
Funded jointly by the Scottish Government and Glasgow City Council this new event will be organised in partnership with the international and national sports federations for each of the participating sports. The Glasgow 2018 European Championships will allow Glasgow and Scotland to continue to build on the economic, cultural and sporting legacy achieved by staging the Commonwealth Games in 2014.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Workforce Operations Manager to join the Glasgow 2018 team to lead on all aspects of Workforce Management during the Championships. The ideal candidate should have experience within Workforce in major international multi sports events. The role of the Workforce Operations Manager will be to prepare, conduct readiness testing and run the operational delivery of the Workforce operations across all Championships venues.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of the inaugural edition of this exciting event as it makes its world sporting calendar debut.
The successful candidate must be able to commit to evening and weekend working shortly before, and during, the Championships. Restrictions on annual leave will also be necessary in the summer of 2018.
The successful candidate will be based at Commonwealth House, 32 Albion Street, Glasgow.

This is a fixed term opportunity up to August 2018.
