Working closely with the Senior Account Director and Activation Director, the successful candidate will have previous experience of working on high profile and diverse experiential campaigns & on the ground sporting event sponsorship execution, with specific skills in maximizing activation opportunities through best in class event logistics, project management, supplier negotiation and management, and onsite event delivery. Working with one of the world’s leading brands on a TOP level Olympic sponsorship, applicants must have a proven track record in client management, a keen eye for detail and be comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment. You love working in a team and always demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving and thinking on your feet.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity to be involved with one of Golazo’s biggest accounts, working very closely with the Senior Account Director, European Activation Director and the larger campaign team to plan and deliver the roll out and “always on” market activities.  Orchestrating internal, external and client teams, you will be given significant responsibilities across core account management functions (client management, project management, budgeting etc) and also a number of more event / production focused areas (supplier negotiation and management, logistics planning, staff briefing and management, event delivery). We are therefore seeking a great all-rounder who has experience in both areas and is as confident liaising with the client on a day-to-day basis as they are speaking to suppliers and formulating on-site event delivery plans.

  • Specific experience of managing onsite activities and ensuring fulfilment of agreed contractual assets with athletes and sporting events
  • Experience in sourcing, briefing and managing onsite staff & volunteers
  • Experience in producing, managing and tracking comprehensive and detailed project briefs, timelines & plans, ability to lead the start-up and ongoing communication around these events with the client & colleagues
  • Significant experience of the smooth running of onsite event delivery (construction, live and deconstruction) and the day-to-day pre/post event management (particularly sponsorship experiences)
  • Problem solving abilities with a natural ability to think on your feet, remain calm under pressure and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Confident producing event documentation for clients and staff e.g. event handbooks, event timing plans, H&S/Risk Assessment/insurance management, logistics / delivery schedules, stock management reports, post event evaluations etc
  • Logical thinker who is process driven and operationally minded

Digital and PR

  • Whilst this is not your specific role, it would be helpful having a strong understanding of how PR and social media can be integrated into experiential campaigns to enhance the user experience – onsite, pre event and post event
  • Understanding of how digital and social media can be used to amplify an experiential campaign to a wider audience, beyond attendees
  • Any event related PR experience would be beneficial, but not essential

Financial Management

  • Commercially astute, with experience of managing tight budgets and adhering to financial processes – Raising of PO’s, supplier invoicing, budget reconciliation.
