What you will be doing

The Account Manager role is a great opportunity to join the lively and growing UAE business, operating from two offices – Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The Marketing and Communications team are looking for an experienced Account Manager to play a pivotal role delivering some of the newly contracted, high profile accounts and have the opportunity to really shape the campaigns. The role will be based in CSM’s UAE offices, where staff work flexibly from both Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices, reporting to the marcomms team Account Director.

The successful candidate will be working on the following accounts:

  • UAE Team Emirates professional cycling team, delivering the PR & Digital communications campaign for the new owners of the UCI World Tour team, working closely with the team Press Office, owners, sponsors and key stakeholders
  • Commercial Bank Qatar Masters event marketing delivering the PR, digital and sponsor activation campaign for the promoter and title sponsor Commercial Bank
  • FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2017 delivering on a wide range of PR & digital communications activities, reporting directly to the event’s LOC

The successful candidate will need to display a track record of generating PR coverage and strong knowledge of media relations as well as the confidence to combine traditional PR principles with digital experience. They should be comfortable working across the marketing mix and looking for a wealth of opportunities and experience that this role will provide in abundance.

The Skills & Experience you need

Minimum of four years’ sports marcomms experience including proven experience in:

  • Combining creativity with knowledge of the international media to recognise media angles and generate positive news coverage, profile pieces and features across a broad media spectrum
  • Assisting in the reporting, analysis and evaluation of PR campaigns
  • Strong English language copywriting
  • Generating creative content calendars and understanding best practice for key social media channels (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Planning and implementing impactful PR campaigns
  • Developing and leading PR strategies from formulation through to execution, aligning them with the client’s key business objectives
  • Acting as the go-to contact person for clients and maintain daily contact, ensuring timely delivery of all requests and regular meetings
  • Maintaining agreed client activity and budgets
  • Branding and advertising management
  • Creative event real-time digital and activation management
  • Supporting other CSM accounts and new business requirements as and when required

The successful candidate should also have the following skills:
