Job Description

It means more at Ascot. Everything is in its place as we meticulously apply the finishing touches to create breath taking occasions at the iconic Ascot Racecourse. We strive to deliver an uplifting guest experience; an experience which always anticipates our guest’s needs and is seemingly effortless. We are custodians of over 300 years of history, we have a duty to respect and celebrate our heritage which makes us original. We always look and act the part. We are smart, stylishly turned out and courteous, communicating with respect. This is the Ascot Way.

Ascot is more than a racecourse; it is an institution. Its reach extends beyond the world of horseracing into the very fabric of British life. Ascot’s aim is to deliver a brand that gives credence to this. One that acts as a worthy heir to its heritage and prestige, that appeals to its diverse audiences and that raises the standard in all areas of the business.

Reporting to the Ticketing and Fulfilment Manager this fixed term role, will work with a team to deliver all of the ticketing, including fine dining and private box hospitality, fulfilment and dispatch for all Ascot Racedays and Royal Ascot.

It is the duty of this Sales Administration Executive to support the Ticketing team to efficiently deliver an elegant service to all customers in order to realise the administrative and fulfilment requirements. With just under 200k tickets being sold in the Queen Anne Enclosure and Windsor Enclosure for Royal Ascot alone, the majority of which are printed and despatched in-house, the printing of these tickets and producing the address labels forms the bulk of this role.  You will also be required to contact customers when their tickets are returned undelivered to ensure a successful redelivery.

During Royal Ascot you will also be responsible for the Lost Property Office which will include dealing with guest queries and dispatch of lost items.

You will be available from the beginning of February 2017 until the beginning of August 2017.

You will be a highly organised individual with the determination to complete tasks using your own initiative. Excellent attention to detail is required as is a good understanding of address formats and postcodes, both UK and overseas.  You’ll ideally have an understanding of ticketing and CRM systems. In addition you will have excellent communication and written skills.

You will be flexible when it comes to taking instructions and working within an events industry with its own rhythms. You should have advanced knowledge in Microsoft packages. Working to tight deadlines will not phase you.

Alongside a very competitive salary, you will be able to take advantage of a great package. We offer complimentary tickets for each race day that you can give to friends or family, discounts in selected stores on Ascot High Street, as well as a Pension Scheme and Life Assurance. We are also keen to support employees with opportunities to grow and develop within Ascot Racecourse.
