The company’s technology is able to capture a unique set of biological data combined to additional general health information, providing a unique insight to human performance and well-being. Sense’s products are being prepared for commercialisation in 2013, in the elite sports domain. The company is a privately held company, incorporated in 2008 and headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland.

 The Position

Sense is looking for an individual with a proven track record in a senior sales role, to join its team as Head of Sales. The person will lead and manage the sales team, engage with the management to develop and implement sales strategies, and be responsible to achieve and exceed budgeted levels of sales growth. Roles and responsibilities of the position include:

Sales strategy:

- Analyse product and services’ attributes, targeted market positioning, and marketing strategy in order to devise and propose go‐to‐market plan

Sales materials:

- Conceive and create the required materials for a successful support of the sales’ activities

- Engage in and propose the development of new marketing propositions

Sales team and partnerships:

- Recruit, develop, manage and motivate a growing team of sales professionals, who will deliver high standards of sales services across all identified markets and product and service lines

- Identify and establish partnerships with network distributors and enablers, fulfilling the company’s sales and quality standards

Sales’ execution:

- Achieve sales targets through effective management of sales team and sales partners

- Implement Sales Strategy that addresses the various geographical sales targets

- Drive the pace, lead and coordinate the sales’ execution

- Introduce brokers, network distributors and sales’ prospects

- Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure successful and smooth delivery of products and services to clients

- Manage the market intelligence process, gathering market and customer information and providing feedback on future trends, to support sales campaigns

- Report achievements versus budget forecasts to the management regularly

- Establish and monitor sales’ performance reporting system

Key Attributes

- Successful track record of delivering sales in line with budgets within a senior sales role

- Sales track record achieved within the consumer electronics, or sports goods, or medical devices sector

- Hands‐on management style and proven experience of managing and motivating a sales team

- Knowledge of establishing distribution networks and business enablers

- In‐depth understanding of sales systems to support successful sales delivery

- Excellent relationship account management skills

- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business

- Passion and willingness to become immersed in work

- Strong organizational, time management, negotiation, communication skills


- 5‐years of relevant experience

- Professional sport experience, an asset

IT Skills

- Excellent MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and Ms Project skills

- CRM systems knowledge and deployment, an asset

Language Skills

- English – fluent (oral and written)

- German, an asset

- Additional languages, an advantage
