CEO of Olympic Broadcasting Services on adapting to change
Published: 09 Aug 2016
Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) was created by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 2001 in order to serve as the Host Broadcaster for all Olympic Games, Olympic Winter Games and Youth Olympic Games. In this interview, OBS CEO Yiannis Exarchos describes the complexity of the task, citing the fact that there is no blueprint and success depends on the ability of those involved to adapt to the specific needs of each host nation. He sets high standards for himself and his staff, stating that the Olympic world is about excellence. He also encourages young people to embrace change as nowadays there is no such thing as a permanent job description.
