“There is a great team ethos and it’s a really supportive environment, meaning you feel able to challenge yourself as there is always someone to turn to for help or advice when it’s needed.”
As Stadium Event Manager I’m responsible for a variety of operational aspects which contribute to the successful delivery of our wide ranging events programme - everything from a small scale sponsors’ photo shoot in the England Dressing Room up to a full scale England International match, drawing crowds of over 82,000.
One of the things I enjoy most about working for the RFU is the positive approach we take when faced with a challenge, and working in events there are quite a few! There is a great team ethos and it’s a really supportive environment, meaning you feel able to challenge yourself as there is always someone to turn to for help or advice when it’s needed.
I also love the variety of events which I get to work on being part of the RFU. As well as our annual program of Rugby events, Twickenham also hosts international concert tours, a huge annual religious convention and next year we have a completely different and very exciting project in the pipeline, which hasn’t been seen in the UK for a number of years.
