London, UK, 11th September 2014 - GlobalSportsJobs, the leading specialist digital media and talent platform for the international sports industry, has partnered with Sports Matters - a conference which aims to build the foundations for a healthy and sustainable Asian sports industry.
"We are delighted to be partnering with Sports Matters this year," said Karl Oliver, Chairman of Global Sports and Media Group, owners of GlobalSportsJobs. “GlobalSportsJobs shares many of the same values as Sports Matters as we both look to continuously inspire and educate those already working in the industry as well as those wanting to enter the business.”
GlobalSportsJobs has worked with many leading sports organisations in Asia over the last 3 years including The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Li-Ning, Singapore Sports Council, Singapore Sports Hub, and the Cricket World Cup 2015. To date, over 1,000 job vacancies in the APAC region have been posted, increasing awareness of a rapidly growing and an ever more professional sports industry in this region.
“Our investment in building bespoke regional platforms continues with the launch of a dual language (Chinese and English) offering developed specifically for the Asian market further strengthening GlobalSportsJobs’ presence in the Asia Pacific region. The platform will go live in the coming weeks, and collaborating with one of Asia's most high profile sports industry conferences has been a key element in the preparations for launch,” added Karl Oliver.
In its second year, Sports Matters will take place on 17-18 September at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. The event is set to attract over 500 sports industry professionals, including thought leaders such as Lord Sebastian Coe KBE, Chairman of CSM Sports & Entertainment; Max van den Doel, Head of Global Sports Marketing at adidas International; and Mark Adams, Senior Vice President of IMG.
“We feel privileged to be able to gather such a stellar speaker faculty to offer a programme and attending delegate profile that puts this event squarely in the calendar as the premier conference of its kind in Asia,” said Jasper Donat, CEO of Branded Ltd (event organisers). “Quality media partners are an important feature of our marketing, reporting and outreach for the event and we’re delighted to be partnering with GlobalSportsJobs to include their important global audience in our event.”
