Glasgow Life is the strategic lead for events in the city and our events team is responsible for attracting, creating, delivering and investing to grow major annual and one-off sports and cultural events in the city. We provide a single point of contact for events coming to the city and we work with local, national and international partners to maximise the benefits of events to the city and evolve, position and promote Glasgow as a world leading event destination.

We are the largest local authority events team in the UK, and you will be joining our team during an exciting chapter of Glasgow’s events journey.
Our team is preparing to deliver the UCI Cycling World Championships in Glasgow next year, co-ordinate a year-long programme of activities and events as European Capital of Sport 2023 and building a team to deliver the World Athletics Indoor Championships 2024. We are also working on a number of major event feasibility and bids to build a future pipeline of major events.
The city boasts a strong annual calendar of events that Glasgow Life delivers, including the World Pipe Band Championships, Great Scottish Run, Merchant City Festival, Glasgow Mela, Winter Events, Glasgow International Festival of Contemporary Art and Celtic Connections.
