Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Team Administrator/PA to prove high level administrative and operational support to our Performance Pathway team.

 

Accountabilities:

 

The role holder's key accountabilities are to:

  • Provide high level administrative and operational support
  • Perform any such task or exercise as required throughout the season
  • Be responsible for diary appointments and make all travel arrangements, overnight accommodation bookings etc.
  • Produce correspondence, reports, presentations etc.
  • Reconcile all expense claims on a monthly basis
  • Liaise with key external bodies
  • Assist the Team Operations Managers with any team related tasks they may need help with
  • Work directly with other administrative staff to ensure all key activities are conducted in an efficient and coordinated manner and where practicably possible
  • Actively collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and delivery of the strategic, business and operational plans
  • Act as an ambassador for, and promote the best interests of the RFU at all times, including the promotion of the RFU Core Values
  • Undertake such other duties as maybe required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of the RFU

Person Specification

 

Skills and Personal Attributes:

  • Must have excellent word processing skills and be competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Must have previous PA or team administrative experience and be accomplished in administering complex multifaceted functions/ departments
  • Demonstrate experience of customer service roles, with an orientation towards service of others
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of England Rugby, the Professional Rugby Department and a broader knowledge of the RFU and the game of rugby
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with employees internally and externally, always presenting a high professional image when representing the company
  • Must be able to establish positive working relationships with staff throughout the organisation and command the respect of others
  • Must be able to balance a determined application to work with a sense of fun and enjoyment that is conveyed to others
  • Must demonstrate a thorough approach to work, and able to organise him/herself effectively
  • Must be able to multi-task and upwardly manage when necessary
  • Will possess confidence in his/her own abilities and convey an authoritative and assertive manner without being perceived as over-bearing or aggressive
  • Must be able to work with minimum support
  • Dynamic approach to a varying workload

Additional Information:

  • Personal circumstances must allow the candidate to work extended hours on occasion during times of peak activity including evenings and weekends
  • Role holders not based at the Twickenham headquarters must be available to work from there as and when required
