- Regulator & Educator
Drug Free Sport New Zealand (DFSNZ) is an independent Crown Entity that enforces the regulatory functions set out in the Sports Anti-Doping Act 2006. Performing an essential role protecting the integrity of our athletes and sports, DFSNZ is also an influential educator in the sports sector, promoting clean and healthy sport, with a particular focus on youth.
Reporting to the Board, you will work collaboratively with domestic and international sporting organisations, peer-groups and across all-of-government. You will lead DFSNZ's strategic direction to ensure that support for clean sport is prevalent within New Zealand's sporting culture. Leading through robust regulatory enforcement and education and behavioural change programmes you will develop sound, respectful and enduring relationships with all sports stakeholders.
As DFSNZ's 'front' person your excellent presentation and communication skills are essential. An experienced leader with an ability to work with processes, policies and situations, often attracting public interest, you will demonstrate sound judgement supported by your strategic and operational experience. A suitable tertiary qualification is desired.
You will be joining the organisation with a dynamic, well-established expert team at an exciting time of change as the sports sector and the role of anti-doping enters a new era.
