Women's Bowls New South Wales (WBNSW) is a not for profit Sporting Association.  This prominent Association has been in operation for over 88 years.  WBNSW is made up of 449 member clubs and 17,000 plus registered bowlers across the State with 45 Districts, Isolated Clubs and 16 Regions.

The Chief Executive Officer will ensure the organisation is being managed on a day-to-day basis whilst the Board sets the strategic direction for women's bowls in NSW.  The CEO must ensure that WBNSW is viewed as an Association that is professional, has integrity and is focused on the development of bowls from community, commercial and sporting achievement perspectives.

This full time position presents a unique opportunity to step into a general management role with an evolving and progressive State Sporting Organisation.

Reporting to the WBNSW State President and Board, the CEO's role is to lead and develop WBNSW as the principal professional administrator of women's bowls in New South Wales.

The CEO has overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the business, assisting and working closely with the Board, providing direction and leadership to the staff of five (3 full time and 2 part time), working towards the achievement of the Association's vision, strategy and objectives. As the Board of Directors has a clear governance role, the CEO fulfils the 'hands-on' management role of WBNSW.

Candidates must have demonstrated success in an operational management and leadership role, ideally from within a not-for-profit and/or membership based organisation.  A strong track record of effective financial management and relationship management is required, in particular the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse stakeholder group including an extensive volunteer base, and servicing/attracting sponsors.  An in-depth knowledge of the sport of lawn bowls is also highly desirable and would put the successful candidate at a distinct advantage.
