Job Description

We have a new opportunity for a junior clinician to join our existing team of twelve veterinary surgeons. The job is primarily ambulatory, with the ability to follow your cases through to our world class hospital facility. Working closely with senior colleagues, there will be opportunity to gain experience and develop practical skills, with excellent support available from certificate and diploma holders within the department. You will be encouraged to contribute to ongoing and future departmental research projects. Accommodation will be provided.

The Job:

You will work closely with three colleagues in the equestrian sector of our practice to assist:

  • with the provision of clinical services to all horses in the ten riding schools in Hong Kong
  • in the rehabilitation and retraining of retired racehorses at the Club’s Beas River Equestrian Centre
  • in the performance of diagnostic procedures
  • clinical support to Equestrian Events in Hong Kong
  • supporting general veterinary-related services such as accompanying airport convoys

You should:

  • hold a degree recognized by the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Hong Kong
  • have experience in equine practice, although enthusiastic recent graduates will be considered
  • demonstrate competence in core clinical skills
  • be dedicated towards an outstanding level of client care
  • ideally speak fluent Cantonese and English

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. An 18 month contract will be offered to successful candidate.
